Narcissistic Personality Disorder in Women: Our Second Interview with Author and Counselor Christine Louis de Canonville
Our first show with Christine Louis de Canonville aired in December of 2014. We’ve been able to host 17 episodes on Mental Health News Radio with everyone from CEOs of behavioral health software organizations, mental health professionals, volunteers in behavioral health, and best selling authors. Our show was started in May of 2014 and our guest request list is ever growing. In the beginning we all but begged people to join the show, now we have a four month waiting list. It is a labor of love and we are proud to provide insight, education, and resources for our global audience.
Our most popular guest by over 7,000 downloads is author, counselor, and educator Christine Louis de Canonville. We received email requests from all over the world asking when she would return for another show. We introduced Christine to our listeners to discuss her work and her book THE 3 FACES OF EVIL – Unmasking The Full Spectrum Of Narcissistic Abuse (published April of 2015). After reading one of her blog articles titled The Typical Narcissistic Woman as a Friend I realized how much emphasis is put on men with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. As you’ll hear during our interview men do not outnumber women when it comes to this disorder.
Please enjoy the show as we discuss Narcissistic Personality Disorder in Women

She worked in the trauma unit of a Psychiatric hospital, and worked specifically with victims of narcissistic abuse in her private practice.
Christine is unique in that she trains professionals that work in the mental health field (Psychotherapists, Social Workers, Police, Doctors, Solicitors, Law Courts, HR management, Educators, etc.) how to work with victims of this form of abuse. Her website (narcissisticbehavior.net) posts original and much needed information for educating both therapists and survivors. She went on to develop an effective program for working one-on-one with victims suffering from Narcissistic Victim Syndrome, and developed workshops for educating therapists and other health professionals in the whole spectrum of Narcissistic abuse. Much of her knowledge has come from her post-grad studies in Criminology and Forensic Psychology, and it is through these disciplines that she has gained her understanding of the The Dark Triad, (Narcissism, Machiavellianism, and Psychopathy). These Three Faces of Evil are vital information for understanding the full spectrum of narcissistic abuse.
Her first show and complete bio can be found here.
The staff of everythingEHR is committed to continuing our efforts at bringing awareness of this abuse to the public. The more people that are educated about this subject, the fewer targets will be available, and quite possibly this may force these disordered personality types into long-term treatment.
*Examples given regarding Narcissistic Personality Disorder may be related to the guest or host’s experiences over vast interactions in their field of expertise. An amalgamation of experiences may be described but is in no way related to a single person or entity. Should any listeners resonate with the information discussed or written, a list of qualified professionals can be made available to anyone seeking help to evolve as a human being and manage their behavior.
