Emotional-Destructive-Marriage

You can’t put it into words, but something is happening to you. Your stomach churns, your heart aches, and the tension in your marriage is making you feel weary and a little crazy. The constant criticism, disrespect, cruelty, deceit, and gross indifference are eroding your confidence and breaking your spirit and you don’t know who to talk to or where to turn.

Today our guest on Mental Health News Radio is Leslie Vernick, a clinical social worker, relationship coach, speaker and author. Her best-selling book The Emotionally Destructive Marriage is what we take a deep dive into today. If you’re feeling voiceless, hopeless, or powerless in your marriage, Leslie will show you a path forward, helping you find your voice and reclaim your hope.

Many of our listeners are counselors. When we reached out to our audience announcing Leslie as a guest the response was overwhelming. We are certainly honored to have her as our guest and to share her invaluable wisdom with our listeners.

We asked Leslie to share with the questions that are most often asked of her. Get ready to take notes because we cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time.

Our Nations Opiate Epidemic: An Interview with Addiction Campuses

Addiction-Campuses

We’ve been excited about this show for quite some time and honored to work with one of the leading addiction recovery centers in the United States, Addiction Campuses. Olivia Quintanilla, Market Director, and Brian Sullivan, Public Relations Manager, from their Tennessee and Texas campuses join us for a heartfelt, candid, and startling discussion about what is happening in the United States for anyone struggling with addiction issues.

As our audience knows we strive at everythingEHR and Mental Health News Radio to work towards eliminating the stigmas surrounding mental illness. Addiction Campuses is leading the charge to change our nations dialogue around the stigma associated with addiction. Even our Host and CEO, Kristin Walker, had to take a look at the language she uses around discussing addiction as you’ll hear on the program.

We cannot stress enough how important this show is to our organization and how proud we are to get right to heart of things with both Olivia and Brian.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder in Women: Our Second Interview with Author and Counselor Christine Louis de Canonville

ChristineLouisDeCanonville-3D-Single BOOK-CoverOur first show with Christine Louis de Canonville aired in December of 2014. We’ve been able to host 17 episodes on Mental Health News Radio with everyone from CEOs of behavioral health software organizations, mental health professionals, volunteers in behavioral health, and best selling authors. Our show was started in May of 2014 and our guest request list is ever growing. In the beginning we all but begged people to join the show, now we have a four month waiting list. It is a labor of love and we are proud to provide insight, education, and resources for our global audience.

Our most popular guest by over 7,000 downloads is author, counselor, and educator Christine Louis de Canonville. We received email requests from all over the world asking when she would return for another show. We introduced Christine to our listeners to discuss her work and her book THE 3 FACES OF EVIL – Unmasking The Full Spectrum Of Narcissistic Abuse (published April of 2015). After reading one of her blog articles titled The Typical Narcissistic Woman as a Friend I realized how much emphasis is put on men with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. As you’ll hear during our interview men do not outnumber women when it comes to this disorder.

The 3 Faces of Evil – Unmasking The Full Spectrum of Narcissistic Abuse

ChristineLouisDeCanonville-3D-Single BOOK-CoverAn in-depth and candid discussion with Christine Louis de Canonville, B.A. Hons; MIACP; MTCI; MPNLP, CMH; CHyp. Christine has been a Psychotherapist and Supervisor of mental health professionals for over 20 years. She worked in the trauma unit of a Psychiatric hospital, and worked specifically with victims of narcissistic abuse in her private practice.

During my own research after a horrendous work experience with a disordered and malignant narcissist, I was referred to Christine as the expert to have on Mental Health News Radio. Christine joined me the day after Thanksgiving 2014 from Dublin, Ireland to discuss her book, her work with therapists and survivors, and her hopes to educate the public about these dangerous and toxic individuals. I am so honored to have her on the show.

This is such a hot topic that the seven days after we posted information on our social media outlets to pre-advertise the show, Christine had thousands of new downloads from the Americas for the first chapter of her book and 20,000 new visitors to her site www.narcissisticbehavior.net

Care of the Caregiver: Juggling Care, Self-Care, Paperwork. Can a Behavioral Health EHR Help or Hurt?

juggling act 2

Juggling…with One Hand Behind Our Back!

Providers are constantly building upon their understanding of the struggles that their clients face. New developments lead the way as practices consider and reconsider the effectiveness of their programs. Often they are working with hands tied by bureaucracy and by the limited availability of resources, and the limited time they have with their clients.

Are You in a Co-Dependent Relationship with your Behavioral Health EHR?

BehavioralHealthEHRCodependency

Heard Any of this Before?

None of our other clients are having the issues you are having.

Our other clients have been able to figure this out.

You haven’t spent enough time training on the software.

Who can we work with at your practice that will get it?

How comfortable are you with software?

Helping behavioral health providers find the right electronic health records software is our business.  There are so many choices, the entire process of finding the best EHR can be daunting.  Even more of a challenge is moving from one EHR to another.  Many mental health organizations will stay on a system that did a great job of getting them off of paper, but is not robust enough to keep their practice moving forward.
