Welcome Dr. Frederick DuFour to everythingEHR

FredLecturePlease join us in welcoming Frederick DuFour, PhD. as the Clinical Advisor for everythingEHR. Dr. DuFour has implemented the clinical and administrative workflow utilizing electronic health record software for multiple mental health and substance abuse agencies. He continues to serve as Adjunct Assistant Professor at SUNY Upstate Medical University and teaches Evidence-Based Medicine with the clerkship programs at the SUNY Clinical Campus in Binghamton.

Fred served for eight years as Executive Director of The Family & Children’s Society in Binghamton, New York. He served as chief administrator of a non-for-profit human services agency that provides a number of specialized counseling and home care services in Broome and Tioga Counties. (www.familycs.org). These programs included a Home Care Aide Service, Family Homes for the Elderly, In Home Mental Health, Elder Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, Mental Health Clinic, Sexual Abuse Program, School Based Counseling, and Health Homes.

He served as Assistant Adjunct Professor and Director of the Center for Evidence-Based Community Psychiatry at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He also served as their Administrative Officer for the Department of Psychiatry.

Fred received his PhD. from the University of Texas in Psychology, he has completed a MSc in Evidenced-Based Medicine and Bio-Statistics at the University of Oxford (UK). He was a Graduate student at Harvard University (in Child Development). He also holds a BA and an MA from Syracuse University and has an Associate’s degree in accounting from Herkimer County Community College.

Fred is a former member of the faculty of Cornell University for 12 years before coming to SUNY Upstate Medical University. While at Cornell he served as Co-Principle Investigator of a National Epidemiological Study which examined the rates of Child Abuse and Neglect among Farm Migrant Families.

We are extremely excited to have him as part of our group advising universities, behavioral health agencies, and chemical dependence organizations through the implementation, design, and selection of our best in class electronic health record systems.
